So today I took Kyson in to see Dr. Dewitt for his 2 month check up and to get his shots. Well he didn't know what he was in for. We weighed him and he is now 10 lbs 14 oz and 22 1/2 inches long. He now weighs more then a bag of potatoes, he is getting so big. Dr. Dewitt said that he is looking awesome (you'd have to know Dr. Dewitt's way of communicating, because when anything looks great he say awesome). He also said that Kyson is gaining weight at a good rate for his age and that he is such a strong boy for being two months old and already holding his head up and loving to stand, also he has great eye control. I love hearing that everything is going great with Kyson and that Rhett and I have such a healthy baby and smart one for that fact. Kyson then got poked twice by the nurse for his Hepatitis B (Hep B) shot and his Diphtheria, Tetanus, Pertussis (DTaP/DTP/DT), Haemophilus influenzae type B (Hib) and Polio (IPV). Poor little guy just cried and cried and cried. He has never cried that hard before and there was nothing really that I could do besides give him infant motrin, a bottle and just cuddle him and let him know everything was going to be ok. I felt so bad for him but like every other baby out there these shots are nessasary. Kyson is now doing better since 8:30 this morning he is sound asleep and hope he wakes up a happy baby.

Poor Kyson:(
I would always tear up when my babies would get their shots!
Oh ouch. I feel for him, I would hate it too. I sure hope that he is feeling better. I also hope all is well with your family. Give me a buzz a.s.a.p.
Poor little guy... I hope he is feeling better today. Give him big kisses from Aunt Lindsay.
