I am now understanding what every pregnant woman goes through when they get to the end of their pregnancy and wishing it was over with. I have been wanting to push this baby out now since sunday and still it hasn't happend yet. Sunday I was experiencing contractions every 2 to 3 minutes apart and for me and this being my first time was in pain and thought it was true labor. Rhett and I headed up to the hospital where I did become a patient but not the one I wanted to be. I has trying everything and anything from blowing through them to walking around the room but to me I would have rated my pain about a 4 out of 10. I know what your thinking that a 4 isn't bad wait til it get's to an 8 or 9 then you'll know what pain is. My response to that is oh heck no that's what epidurals are for. Anyways the wonderful girls that I work with really took good care of me and I had to have an IV started to receive fluids. One because even though I had been drinking a lot of water that day I was still dehydrated and Two Kyson's heart rate was just kind of flat and just need some fluids himself. Once I got that done and had the IV fluid running Kyson's heart rate got better and better. Just wish I could have said that for my contractions. Rhett and I got there around 520pm which by the way I was suppose to work that night but I didn't, and we didn't get home til about 1030 or 11 that evening. The contractions did make me dialate a little bit more but not enough to keep me there. So they sent me home and Dr. Tindall perscribed me some ambien which I completely recommend. Well then I went to work Monday mind you that all that day before work I was still contracting but I just went with it and still went to work. I did work that whole night and contracted the entire time but knew I wouldn't be a staying patient.
Saturday my mom and sisters threw me a wonderful baby shower that I really enjoyed. Rhett and I got alot of cute things for Kyson that we will definently be using over time. We took pictures but they are on my mom's camera so as soon as I can I'll get those posted so all of you can see how it looked.
Rhett and I had our 37 1/2 week appointment yesterday and everything went really good. I'm still not as dialated as I would like to be but Dr. Tindall said that everything was going good and that Kyson is doing great so no worries. Dr. Tindall just keeps telling me that I need to go sit in a swimming pool to take some of my swelling away. My feet are so big that I can bearly fit into any of my shoes. So now I'm thinking that the swimming pool thing sounds pretty good at this point of time.
Anyhow that is the excitement of our week so far. We'll keep you posted if anything happens more this week if not then you'll get a post next week after our next appointment.
